I was so excited to review Inside out. Although I did receive a copy of the movie, I was not compensated monetarily for this post, and all opinions are my own.
Disney/Pixar really knocked it out of the park with this movie! Inside Out is based on the life of Riley, an 11 year old girl and her five emotions that control ‘Headquarters’, AKA, her mind- Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness.
Joy tries to make sure Riley stays happy as she operates alongside the other emotions, which as we all know the emotions of 11 year old girls, isn’t always possible. It does, however, make for a very entertaining film!
As a parent, I enjoyed seeing the dialogue that went on in the minds of Riley’s Mom and Dad as well. It was hilarious and totally relatable!
Richard Roeper of The Chicago Sun-Times hails Inside Out “an instant classic,” and I would have to agree. My girls were waiting (not so patiently I might add) for this movie to arrive, even though my oldest daughter already saw it twice in theaters… we were super excited to view it as a family. My younger girls, ages 9 and 12, fell in love with it right away. I’ve already lost count of the number of times it has been played since our original viewing.
