I was happy to be chosen to participate in a Fashion Friday Story With Cents of Style this week. I chose a Be Brave t-shirt that I received complimentary from Cents of Style to help facilitate this post.

I had big plans to go outdoors and take stunning (okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit here) photographs in my newly-gifted inspirational t-shirt from their B-Series line.
Then, life happened!
I've been sick for about two weeks and think I have pneumonia. (Hubby has been sick with the same symptoms for less time than me, and he has it). So the perfect outdoor photo shoot got thrown out the window. Instead you'll see pictures of me snuggled in my blanket with my cat. Hey, sometimes you have to work with what you've got!
Here's the shirt I selected this month
Here's how I'm styling this shirt:
Accessories: Big green fluffy feather down throw blanket (it's in my lap, you can barely see the top of it) and an Oreo….that's my cat! 🙂
I got to thinking about what Be Brave means to me.
It means that even though life isn't always perfect, sometimes you have to put on a happy face and just do your best.
Take chances. Keep Trying. And don't give up.
Let's face it, life isn't always all rainbows and roses.
There are people struggling with real problems.
People suffering financial trouble, broken hearts, and fighting health issues. Things that make those of us who are complaining about our ‘bad days' feel ashamed for even thinking that not being able to go out and get ourselves our favorite coffee is in any way, shape or form similar to the trials some are struggling with.
Be Brave is for the mom who is dealing with a child with special needs day in and day out.
It's for the girl suffering from anxiety that struggles to go out and do the things we take for granted like shopping or running simple errands.
It's for the woman who just lost her spouse and has to learn how to navigate life alone.
Be Brave, my friends, is for you. It's for me. It's for everyone who has ever had a single trouble in their life…which I'm guessing is all of us.
I wear my Be Brave shirt as a reminder to myself and to others to keep fighting the good fight.
You can get your own Be Series Graphic T-Shirt at Cents of Style. Use the code BESTORY and it will make each tee $15.95, with FREE SHIPPING! The code is valid 4/28 through 4/30.
I hope you're able to get the shirt so you can help spread encouragement to all, but even if you're not, I hope that you are encouraged to do your best and never give up.
Be Brave my friends, be brave!
