This year I really wanted to do a Holiday Gift Guide for dads, because let’s face it…dads can be hard to shop for!
Even though sticking with the usuals are okay (candy and ties, anyone?) sometimes you want to come up with a unique gift for dad that he will really appreciate.
This post contains affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase, we receive a small commission (without it costing you a penny more!). To learn more, please visit our Disclosure Policy.
So we’ve come up with a list of Gifts for dads and have tried to include things that are not only original, but specific to a dad’s hobbies or likes.
Hope this helps you when shopping for gifts for the dad in your life!
Holiday Gift Guide For Dads
Gifts for Dads Who Love to Go Fishing
Lucky Tackle Box
I featured the Lucky Tackle Box on my Instagram account, you can see the post here. It’s a really cool subscription box service that includes the best products for the guy who loves fishing. They have three different subscription box options, the first regular being $16.99, the XL box being $26.99, and the Tournament Box is $46 per month. It’s a great option if the dad in your life is an avid fisherman, he’ll get the best lures and baits every month!
This is another really great gift idea for any fisherman. The Fishing Caddy has two built in rod holders, a detachable cup holder, a padded swivel seat and is proudly made in the USA. It’s the all-in-one fishing buddy that stores your fish, holds your pole, and even holds your beer! Such a neat invention, you can get the Fishing Caddy this holiday season on their website for $74.95 with a 14 compartment tackle box lid, or shop for it on Amazon.
Gifts for Dads Who Love Cars
There are so many gift ideas for men who love cars. If your guy is a die-hard Ford guy, check out this post.
If the dad in your life has a man cave (or wants one), here are some really great gift ideas.
Car Key Chain
I found this cute Father’s Gift, this Car Key Chain on Etsy and thought it was neat. Personalize it with your kids names for your husband, or with the grand kids names for your dad. You can also personalize the name with daddy, dad, father, grandpa, papa or pop. You can also request a custom order if you’d like a name or something else written on it.
What better way to show your guy you support his love of cars than with a car t-shirt?! This one will let the world know what’s on his mind, as well as what’s about to come out of his mouth, ha ha!
Car Coffee Mug
I thought this was hilarious, because we all know that half the time our guys aren’t listening anyway! Now you know what your car loving guy is really thinking about, show him with this funny car coffee mug!
Gifts for Dads Who Love Food
Food gifts are actually very popular. I mean, who doesn’t like to get a box of chocolate or a fruit gift basket? You can see some really great foodie gifts here.
One that I think most men would love is Omaha Steaks. Men like their meat, am I right?!
Right now you can get $10 Off Orders of $ 50 or More
Check out their Omaha Favorites Package, it includes:
- Top Sirloins – 4 oz. | 4 count
- Polynesian Pork Chops – 3 oz. | 4 count
- Omaha Steaks Burgers – 4 oz. | 4 count
- Gourmet Jumbo Franks – 3 oz. | 4 count
- Stuffed Baked Potatoes – 5.5 oz. | 4 count
- Caramel Apple Tartlets – 4 oz. | 4 count
Does your guy like it hot? This Zombie Cajun Hot Sauce gift set might be just what he needs! It includes four bottles (6 oz each) of Louisiana hot sauce in delectable flavors: Garlic, Jalapeno, Habanero, and Cayenne Pepper. Regularly under 30 bucks, it’s a good choice that won’t break the bank.
Hangry Man Kit
From nuts and candy to meat, this pack has tons of great snacks that men will enjoy! The Hangry Man Kit is filled with over 20 of the most popular top shelf brand name snacks. This is one holiday gift any dad would love to see under the tree!
Gifts for Dads Who Love to Relax
The method in which dads like to relax are as varied as dads themselves.
Maybe your guy likes to watch TV or movies. If this is the case, I bet a nice recliner would be right up his alley! La-Z-Boy is one of the best named recliners of all time. They have some wonderful options in a wide variety of colors and styles.
If the dad in your life is more an outdoorsy kind of guy, consider gifting him a hammock for him to kick his feet up and relax in. You can find them at a variety of Outdoor stores and other places, but I thought this one on Amazon looked cook and was fairly inexpensive.
Why not give your guy the gift of travel for the holidays? With TripAdvisor, you can compare pricing on over 200 hotels, so you can give a great gift while saving money at the same time. Works for me!
Gifts for Dads Who Love to Look Their Best
Subscription Shaving Kit
One of the best gifts I’ve ever given my husband was his subscription to The Dollar Shave Club. No more running out of blades or having to pay the ridiculous store prices, nine bucks gets them shipped to our door every month (or as often as he needs them. We often skip a month or so as hubby has quite the arsenal of new blades built up by now).
Gifts for Dads Who Have Everything
Sites like Jane.com have a such a wide variety of items, you’re sure to find something for the dad who has everything! From clothing and socks to tools and jewelry, there are a plethora of items dad would love to receive for the holidays.
Remember though, with Jane these are deals that do sell out and are only available for a certain number of days. So if you see something you like, you’d better nab it quick!
Etsy is another place to find wonderful gifts for dads. With the ability to have items custom made, they really have something for everyone!
I hope this Holiday Gift Guide For Dads will help you find some of the Best Gift Ideas for Dads this year. Best of luck and happy shopping!
