Have you ever felt like you wanted your bedroom to have a makeover? But maybe you can't afford a huge remodeling project right now. Well lucky for you, I'm going to show you how to update your bedroom in 5 easy steps!
We all want a new look now and then, the same old stuff gets BORING. And I don't know about you, but a complete overhaul isn't within our means at this time.
The good news is that you can give your space an updated look, even on a budget. That's the beauty of the list below, you can spend as much or as little as you're able to on the items suggested.
Here are a few quick and easy ways to update your bedroom, without a lot of hassle and fuss.
Change Your Comforter
This is probably the easiest update of all and yet can change the whole focus of your room. When you get a new comforter or bedspread, you can easily switch out a few more things to match that will transform your room into an entirely different space.
I love this antique striped country quilt comforter. Fresh, yet striking and perfect for a country look.
Add New Lighting
This can be an easy fix as well. Sure, you can add track lighting, but changing your main light plus adding either standing or nightstand lamps will not only help brighten up your room, but add style and flair to it as well.
I love changing out table lamps and floor lamps. This rustic table floor lamp would be perfect beside the bed as it doubles as a bedside table.
Lay a Rug
Now you can replace the entire carpet if you want, but this can be expensive. Not to mention you might not have carpet in the first place. A nice area rug works on a floor that is bare, or even one already with carpet.
Area rugs can change the whole look of a room. Brighten it up, add color, add design and more. I love this simple white area rug and think it would look nice under a bed.
Get New Decor
This can be done inexpensively by shopping at places that sell home decor at reasonable prices. I did a post about my favorite stores to shop for home decor so be sure to check that out.
Hang Pictures and Wall Hangings
Again, super easy ways to change the look of your room on the cheap…or spend a lot, depending on your budget. You can use family pictures, pictures of your favorite places or things, even unique wall art and original wall hangings.
Another favorite of mine is to put up small shelving on the walls. These metal and wood shelves are adorable and so country looking.
There you have it, Wa-la! Use this list to help you update your bedroom. Even if you can't change everything all at once, you'll be amazed at what a huge difference even a couple small changes can make!
